Privacy Statement


I take the protection of the data that I hold about previous, current and prospective clients seriously and will do everything possible to ensure that data is collected, stored, processed, maintained, cleansed and retained in accordance with current and future UK data protection legislation.

Please read this privacy statement and the privacy policy carefully to see how I will treat the personal information that you provide to me either when using my website or in other circumstances when I collect data from you (including via email). I will take all appropriate steps and reasonable care to keep your information secure and to prevent any unauthorised access.

I am a Certified Virtual Assistant based in the UK, working as an independent freelancer / consultant providing remote office services to business owners, start-ups and entrepreneurs. Registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO):

As a client, all your personal data held by me is held in accordance with the requirements of the GDPR and data subjects’ rights there under, as set out in my Data Protection Policy.

What data I collect

During an initial consultation with you as prospective client, I will collect certain information about you which will include your name, company name, email address, telephone/mobile number, Skype contact. You may also choose to provide me with other information with regards to your business activities / tasks you need help with. After you become a client, depending on the tasks you need help with, I may need to hold more data from you including payment / account details, passwords for various systems you want me to access.

Why I will collect it

I will collect and process your data for the purposes of providing you with the support services that we pre-agreed, such services may include: carry out administrative tasks (like paying your invoices, accessing your database to keep it up to date, access your social media platforms to schedule a campaign…), conduct research to update your database, outreach to suppliers, contact your clients on your behalf…

I will process your data on the basis of legitimate work agreement. I will have a contractual obligation to you as a client to provide the service you are paying for. I will only use your data for the purpose of completing the tasks we pre-agreed unless you opted in to any subscription for which I will gain additional consent from you.

How long I will keep it

I will retain your Client Data for such time as you are a client, and will then delete your information when our contract /work agreement comes to an end.

Your rights

You have the following rights under data protection legislation:

  1. to access a copy of the information comprised in your personal data;
  2. to object to processing of your personal data that is likely to cause or is causing damage;
  3. to prevent processing for direct marketing;
  4. to object to decisions being taken by automated means;
  5. in certain circumstances, to have inaccurate personal data rectified, blocked, erased or destroyed;
  6. to claim compensation for damages caused by a breach of data protection legislation;
  7. to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office; and
  8. to request a copy of your personal data for you to reuse for your own purposes across different services.
